Mental Health First Aid

Polly Joseph is the instructor on this two day Mental Wellbeing First Aid Course.
The course is packed with case studies based on real life and using our practical A.C.T.I.O.N.S.© plan, individuals will learn skills to help others proactively (including mental health crises) as well as themselves.
It has an introductory price of just £150 for the two days 10am-4pm.
We take an in-depth look at common mental health illnesses such as depression and anxiety, challenge stigma and learn about stress, alarm bells, coping methods, recovery, self-care and so much more!
With a strong focus on how to get help beyond the medical model, Mental Wellbeing First Aid creates hope and positive action.
This course qualifies you as a ‘Mental Wellbeing First Aider’ in all aspects of life including the workplace. Delegates will receive a handy resource pack including a combined workbook & manual, A.C.T.I.O.N.S.© card, and e-certificate.
This course is suitable for all adults and can be applied both in and out of the workplace.
You do not need any previous knowledge of mental health topics, however, if you have completed any other well-being or mental health training, this course will complement and build upon your existing knowledge.

This course is in line with the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) ‘Mental Health Conditions, Work and The Workplace’ guidance.
The course will run 10:00-16:00 on each day, with breaks. Each delegate will get a certificate from SkillBase First Aid valid for three years. Each delegate will get a copy of our user-friendly manual and workbook ‘The Good Mental Health Guide’ to keep. This course is a fun and interactive workshop, with lots of time for practice and questions. There are no formal tests, we’ll assess the course in a relaxed and non-threatening way!
