Exercise can help Osteoarthritis
Latest draft guidelines out today from NICE highlight the importance of exercise in help Osteoarthritis. Just like grey hair most people will show signs of wear and tear in their joints as they age. Sometimes this can lead to pain which then makes exercise more difficult.
It is important to try and address any pain by using painkillers such as ibuprofen or a painkilling gel on the area and then seek advice from a health professional such as a physiotherapist or chiropractor as they can help alleviate some of your pain and get you back to exercising again.

Obviously if the arthritis is too bad then a replacement would be best, but the more you can stay active and keep your muscles strong, the quicker you will recover from a replacement.
Exercise is so important through out lives. As we age our muscles can become weaker so it is more important than ever that as we age we keep doing strengthening exercises as well as aerobic ones.

Sarah is a great Pilates Reformer instructor. I was a beginner 9 months ago but she helped me to understand and benefit … More from our weekly classes and I have progressed to intermediate level.
I look forward our the weekly class and feel real improvements in both my core strength and flexibility. Combining Reformer with Cross-Fit Legends training has helped make me feel fitter and stronger than I have for many years. -

I have been going to Attend2Health for many years to address various back and joint problems. All of the chiropractors and … More osteopaths I have seen have been brilliant, as are the reception staff. In the past few months osteopath Meghan Carolan has been helping me with a problem with my right shoulder which was very painful and had limited movement. Following my last visit my shoulder is now almost fully functional again and the pain much reduced. So many thanks Meghan.
