One Day Emergency First Aid at Work Course

Our Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) course is a practical, one-day training designed to give you the essential skills and confidence to deal with emergency situations in the workplace. Accredited and compliant with Health and Safety Executive (HSE) requirements, this course is ideal for businesses, organisations, and individuals who need trained first aiders on site.

Who is it for?

This course is suitable for:

  • Small to medium-sized businesses

  • Low-risk workplaces (such as offices, shops, or salons)

  • Anyone who wishes to learn life-saving first aid skills

What the course covers:

Over the day, you will learn how to recognise and respond to a wide range of emergencies, including:

  • The role and responsibilities of a first aider

  • Assessing an incident safely and effectively

  • Basic life support (CPR and use of an AED/defibrillator)

  • Recovery position and managing an unconscious casualty

  • Choking emergencies

  • Seizures and fainting

  • Control of bleeding and shock management

  • Minor injuries (cuts, grazes, bruises, burns, scalds)

Course format:

  • Duration: 1 day 9am-4.30pm

  • Cost: £120
  • Assessment: Continuous practical assessment throughout the day

  • Certification: On successful completion, participants will receive a nationally recognised Emergency First Aid at Work certificate valid for 3 years
